* PermanentA school in North East London are seeking an excellent teacher to take on the role of Second in Charge of English. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a Key Stage and support the Learning Co-ordinator in leading the English area.
The school is an inclusive all-through academy that is committed to giving children the best possible education. The school has recently moved into a new building and have state-of-the-art facilities. They have excellent transport links and are walking distance from from Ponders End train station.
The Academy’s students make good progress exceeding or equaling national averages at all key stages. Over 90% of their students have progressed to university. Outside the classroom a wide range of extra-curricular activities provide enrichment opportunities for their students.
All students take GCSE English and English Literature. The English department is proud of its examination results. A level English Literature is a popular choice with their sixth formers and results are good. Students currently follow the Edexcel specification at both levels.
