- Description
I am currently working with a school who are looking fot a Transitions teacher for all core subjects.
The school recently moved into a brand new £80 million building and became an Academy in September 2013.
In 2017, the school’s results profile placed it in the top 5% of schools nationally for the sixth consecutive year.
The school is committed to developing its teachers and to fostering the development of outstanding teaching. The school is a personalised community which is committed to creating careers for people.
It is experienced in supporting NQTs and indeed enjoys this aspect of staff development but it has had equal success in fostering the careers of colleagues who join having taught in other schools or have had other careers. The school takes a concerted approach to teaching, recognising that the aims of the school are the same for all students. Each year the school creates a small group in Year 7 and 8 who are only taught by a small number of teachers and they are seeking to appoint a teacher to this unique post who is able to teach across a range of subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, RE) to such a group.
There are generous resources and the successful candidate would have their own classroom which benefits from a range of interactive technology and brand new teaching resources. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their understanding, and proficiency in, developing teaching and learning opportunities, to ensure that all students have access to suitably challenging educational opportunities.
NQT's are also welcomed to apply for this post as long as they have QTS.
Please get in touch with Roland Opoku to apply for this post of for further information.
