pro rata salary range for Term Time only working £13,964 to £15,496pa
Urban Learning is working with a school for learners (5-19) with moderate/severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and associated problems such as speech & language and other emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Would you welcome the challenge of working with learners in both group and individual situations, helping and encouraging them to develop their self help and learning skills?
You will need to be enthusiastic, committed & flexible, as well as having the ability to maintain calm, positive direction when under pressure. You will be the type of person who enjoys a challenge and seeks job satisfaction.
Hours of work: 8.30am – 4.20pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am – 3:45pm on Friday term time only (36 hours/week) during term time only (plus In-Service training days).
Own transport (or at least non-reliance on public transport) essential due to location of the School.
Positions to commence as soon as possible after interview
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Teaching Assistant positions require an enhanced DBS check.
As an integral part of the interview process all short listed candidates will be required to attend the School for at least half a day on the day of their interview.
