Role: Teaching Assistant/ LSA

We are on the look out for someone who is “dyslexia-support qualified” to teach in our Learning Support Department for 3 days per week.
Our school is an independent boarding and day school for boys in Kent who employs over 800 staff in both academic and support staff positions. The school has excellent facilities which are set in a 150-acre site, including a sports centre, theatre, chapel and medical centre. Highly qualified and committed teaching staff help the school to achieve consistent academic success, while also providing excellent pastoral care and being actively involved in co-curricular activities such as sport and music.
Urban Learning actively recruit Teaching Assistants for schools and Academies across London and the home counties, we have a constant requirement for Teaching Assistants to support class teachers across Key Stages 1-4 (ages 5-16) This exciting opportunity will be ideal for someone who has experience working with SEN students.

Requirements:
Applications are welcome from teaching assistants with experience or with the relevant qualifications (NVQ2/3 Teaching and learning support) or University graduates looking to train to become a qualified teacher in the future.
Both British trained teaching assistants and overseas trained teaching assistants will be considered for this position.

The ideal candidate must have:
- (NVQ 2/3 Teaching and learning support) or (2:2 Degree in any subject)
- Relevant classroom experience
- Passion to work with and support students
- Committed to securing high levels of progress, achievement for students
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS
